Totoro Shoes for Meghan

I really like when shoes can tell a story.
These have a pretty good one.

These shoes are for a nice guy's wife for their anniversary.
At the same time he was asking for them, my husband was in a
pretty nasty ATV accident. He flipped it a few times, landed in a
ditch and woke up to our neighbor talking to him. Lucky for us, he
aside from a few broken bones, he was okay.

BUT! All of those things we take for granted, like-- walking yourself
to the restroom, getting a drink, scratching an itchy toe, etc... had to be
done by me for him.

I also have a 3 and 14 year old. Between going to baseball games and
keeping up with everyone's wants--- my dryer breaks down while my
handyman is incapacitated. So, being a southern woman-- I put up a
clothes line and kept at it. My dishwasher decided to break, too.

So between scratching itches, finding missing doll house toys, going to
ball games, doing dishes and hanging clothes outside-- I painted these shoes.

I really hope his wife likes them.
They have a lot of heart in them.
